Are you referencing fidonet with that last statement.  INdeed the software
and automation were what got me into pointing first, then a mail only, then
hubbing and running a publicly available bbs when I moved to southeastern
IOwa.

AS for the sysop discussion areas, fido has always had its share of
weirdness and some antisocial behavior in some of the sysop discussion
areas.  Fn_sysop being a prime example of this.

Haven't looked you up to see if you're the sysop of that node in PEoria
Brian, but if you are, make sure to have your asbestos suit ready if you
throw your oar in the waters in some of the sysop discussion areas
.  The one I mentioned requires a good asbestos suit for sure.

I recall when we were worried that the nodelist might outgrow capabilities
of software to handle it.
