This is an encore presentation of a previous rap sheet.

Cheerleader Melissa, one of the top women's wrestlers in the country
on the independent scene, has just recently been signed a development
deal with the WWE and will be reporting to OVW soon. Since they've
signed her, I'm reissuing this Rap Sheet for all those fans to see why
the WWE made a good decision signing this gal. My main worry is once
she gets on the roster they are gonna mess up everything since they've
never handled the women's division properly. Anyway, these videos are
on www.clickwrestle.com. Most are free for streaming, but now
downloads cost $5 each (yeek!) up from a buck a few months ago. Those
that are now pay-per-minute, you have to buy a block of minutes to
watch them. In some cases paying for the download costs less than
streaming the whole thing. So, here's the lineup:

Cheerleader Melissa and Nikki vs. Disco Machine and Looney Lane

The first set of videos come from an all-women's promotion in Japan,
Arison Hyper Fighting. And all these focus on American wrestler
Cheerleader Melissa. No particular reason why I picked all Cheerleader
videos other than it was a convenient theme for this Rap Sheet.

Mariko Yoshida 5'4" 140lbs. Hiroshima, Japan, Kaori Yoneyama & Baby A
vs. The American Invasion - Bionic J 5'5" 165lbs Ohio, Taylor Matheny
5'2" ???lbs. Seattle, WA & Cheerleader Melissa 5'8" 135lbs. Los
Angeles, CA - This match was held on June 23, 2002. Melissa takes the
mike and does the intros in English. Taylor was a contestant on Tough
Enough 1 that ended up pulling out due to injury. This is their debuts
in Arison. Baby A is wearing the pink and a mask, Mariko is wearing
black and red, Kaori is wearing black and silver. Bionic J is wearing
black and silver. After the intros the red streamers flood the ring.
It's a wonder why you wouldn't throw them in for the winners. The
American team all flip the Japanese team the bird. Taylor and Mariko
start. Mariko comes up with an armbar, rollover, Taylor gets a
hammerlock, Taylor's got a big rose tattoo on her back now. Front
headlock by Mariko, rolls her down, tag Kaori, elbow from the top,
Baby A with an axe from the top. Taylor runs away and tags Bionic J,
Kaori and Baby A duck a clothesline then hit a double DDT. They do
some sort of dance, Kaori yanks the elbowpad off and tries for the
PEOPLE'S ELBOW? J trips her on the running of the ropes, kick, cusses
her out, tags Taylor, whip to the corner, Melissa is whipped into her,
Taylor's whipped into her, Kaori waves her fingers that causes J to
stop. Taylor hair yank, J clothesline in the corner, side slam Taylor
gets two. That was weird. Flying forearm Kaori gets one. Whip, A in
and dropkick in the corner, A takes out the corner, Mariko back flip
elbow, Northern Lights Kaori gets one. Tag Mariko, Taylor backslide
gets two. Tag Melissa, charge and Mariko ties her up, double armbar
but Melissa gets the ropes. Slugfest, Melissa knocks Mariko down.
Neckbreaker Melissa, double armbar using the legs behind the head,
rollover gets one, waistlock Melissa, Mariko gets an armbar hammer.
Mariko with a forward butterfly slam, Baby A in, backbreaker stretch
Melissa. J is tagged in, A tries to fight her, J chops away gets two.
A gets into a tilt-a-whirl and gets two. A and Kaori try a double
suplex but can't lift her, J suplexes them both, J charges A in the
corner and gets the post. A on top, crossbody off the top to the floor
on the three girls. Kaori to the top and does one herself, A back to
the top, J back in, drop kick off the top. Flying DDT off the top on J
gets two. A charges and gets face slammed. J with a slam, to the
middle rope, leg drop gets two. Mariko saves but gets shoved down. J
goes for a move, A rolls her up for two. A holds J but gets kicked by
Mariko in a botched double-team. Melissa with a flatliner on Mariko,
tilt-a-whirl slam by J on A and wins it. J gets in Mariko's face, but
is broken up, the Americans pose together for photos. Lot of silliness
there, but hey, WWE women's wrestling doesn't measure up these days.

WINNERS: Bionic J, Taylor Matheny & Cheerleader Melissa pin -> 10:05

Cheerleader Melissa 5'8" 135lbs. Los Angeles, CA vs. Mariko Yoshida
5'4" 140lbs. Hiroshima, Japan - This match was held on August 29,
2002. The cheerleader is wearing all black this time and looks nothing
like a cheerleaders outfit. They trade insults to start, then
waistlocks into the ropes. Mariko's got a spider on her chest and a
web on the back. Full nelson Melissa, then into a hammerlock, headlock
Mariko, shove, shoulderblocks no effect, armdrag Melissa. Slam, elbow
Melissa gets one. Headlock by the cheerleader, Mariko rides her, cross
armbar Mariko but Mel gets the rope. Front facelock, rollover into one
on the mat. A masked wrestler watches from ringside, another
crossarmbar. Crucifix stretch, Melissa back up and has her tied up.
Mariko gets a rear chinlock but Mel gets the ropes. Whip side elbow
Melissa, suplex. Mariko reverses a slam attempt and gets a wristlock,
Melissa scissors the head. Mariko ends up with the Indian deathlock,
then butterflies the arms. Mariko releases it, then hits a DDT for
two. Rear wristlock armbar Mariko but Melissa gets a foot on the
ropes. Mariko kicks away, choke with the foot. Melissa gets up and
goes for the legs and they roll into the ropes. Mariko with the hair,
goes for the pedigree but Melissa backdrops her. Trade-off of
forearms, superkick Mariko, Melissa charges but gets tied up. Mariko
with a pedigree variation gets two. Mariko gets a wristlock, then an
inverted crossarm breaker, Mel makes the ropes for the break. Mariko
tries a kick to the head, is caught then gets clotheslined. Mariko
goes back to the armbar but gets slugged down. Melissa waistlock,
lifts her up and sits down...tailbone breaker? Legs are scissored
behind the head pulling the arms, then a pinning combo gets two,
fisherman's suplex gets two for Melissa. Flatliner Melissa gets two,
should've hooked a leg. Mariko slugs away, running superkick to the
head. Mariko hits a back to belly slam (hmmm...I've seen that one
before here locally) it's the FINAL FALL but it only gets two at
Mariko doesn't put weight on the shoulders! Melissa gets the ROCK
BOTTOM (they call it a chokeslam?) but that only gets two! Melissa is
hurting, Mariko gets a schoolboy for two. Mariko gets a backslide out
of a neckbreaker attempt for two, then a double crossface, got both
arms stretched and yanking on the head and neck. It turns into a
hammerlock, then Mariko gets another submission hold on, leg scissors
on the head with both arms locked together pulling on the neck and
it's too much as Melissa taps! In one of the few words I could
understand by the commentators, this hold is called "The Final
Destiny". Several women enter the ring to check on Melissa, including
TE Taylor. Mariko comes over to shake hands but Melissa will have none
of it and starts slugging away but is restrained. Sheesh, sore loser.
Lots of mat wrestling in this one, the WWE ought to take notes, and
when's the last time I've seen a women's match with this high a
rating?

WINNER: Mariko Yoshida submission -> 14:00 mins. ***¾

I don't really bother with vignettes, but decided to look at this for
the heck of it, even though it's all Japanese commentary.

wrestler known as GAMI is running around town with Taylor and Melissa.
Unfortunately for GAMI, they end up stopping at every restaurant to
chow down different dishes. They flash a graphic of how much yen is
being tabbed, and much to her dismay GAMI ends up paying for it all
handing over her wallet to the very last cook in the video.

Cheerleader Melissa 5'8" 135lbs. Los Angeles, CA vs. Bionic J 5'5"
165lbs Ohio - They were tag partners before, now opponents, and this
match took place two days later. J is wearing purple, white and black.
Melissa is in all black again. They shake hands. Lockup, break.
Lockup, another break. Lockup, to the corner, Melissa slugs away,
headlock takedown. J with a rollover gets one, they're up, shoveoff,
hair pull to keep the headlock. Another shove, collision, kick to the
gut, whip reversed, elbow J. J runs the ropes, trip by Melissa.
Stepover toe hold Melissa. The video on streaming pauses a lot, that
500K bit rate is too much even for DSL. Melissa with a bearhug, then
starts kicking the leg and gets an ankle lock. J has the ropes so we
get a break. Strength test, J gets the better of it, and throws her. J
rams her in the corner, but there's just one big pad covering all the
ropes. J with a chop, then a choke with the boot. J chokes her in the
ropes, kick to the back, stretches her between the ropes. J with
forearms shots to the back, chop down gets two. J whip side elbow
Melissa, an inverted ankle lock on the mat. Melissa ties the legs up,
into a facelock. Hammerlock by J, into the crossarm breaker but
Melissa gets the rope. Armbar J, into an armbreaker on the shoulder. J
whip shoulderblock into the gut. J goes for a pedigree but gets
blocked, they chop each other, J whip Melissa turns it into a
neckbreaker. Melissa tries a clothesline but J shrugs it off and
floors her with one of her own. Melissa with a ROCK BOTTOM but gets
two. Fisherman's suplex is blocked, too heavy to lift? Whip to the
corner, J misses the charge and falls out. Melissa kicks away outside
into the crowd. Choke on the apron, J rams her head then takes her
into the wall way in the back. J pulls out some stairs! The ref
wrestles her for the stairs then shoves him down. DQ? Another ref
escorts J back to the ring, Melissa runs in but gets kicked down. J
with a slam, second rope legdrop misses. Melissa locks the legs around
the back of J's head with the arms, rollup gets two. Whip reverse,
sitdown spinebuster J. J tries something but gets flatlinered for two.
Half crab by Melissa, J makes the ropes. Melissa kicks away, charges
and gets speared by J. Texas Cloverleaf by J and the bell
rings...time's up??? Drat. They end up shaking hands and hugging.

NO WINNER: TIME LIMIT DRAW -> 15:00 mins. ***¼

The cheerleader's home fed is All Pro Wrestling so let's look at some
more matches featuring this woman wrestler.

Man vs. Woman
Cheerleader Melissa 5'8" 135lbs. Los Angeles, CA vs. "The Bomb" Robert
Thompson 5'11" 261lbs. San Jose, CA - Man I never like the idea of
putting a woman up against a man in the ring. Melissa does some sort
of mock, Thompson says he's a nice guy (apparently he was the one who
trained her) and says something like everyone can beat him up for what
he does to this girl. Man what a small facility this is, the ring
takes up nearly the whole room and there's only one row of people
against the walls. Lockup, Melissa is pushed into the corner. Lockup,
Thompson slaps her on the rear. Thompson points to Melissa's dad,
another lockup and Melissa slaps him on the rear. Another lockup,
waistlocks, then Melissa with a trip. Thompson rolls out, back in
lockup to the corner, kick to the head, then the back by Melissa.
Headlock on Thompson, he reverses it into a hammerlock, muscles her
into a pin for one. Takedown Thompson gets two, armbar, Melissa kicks
and scissors him outside. Back in, lockup, Melissa with an armbar,
Thompson forearms her, shove, shoulderblock Melissa and an armdrag.
Crossarm breaker Melissa, who's HALF the weight of Thompson keep in
mind. Thompson forearms her off, shove, run of the ropes, drop kick
Melissa and armdrag. Armbar on the mat, come on Thompson isn't even
TRYING to get out of this. He finally gets up, whip and Melissa gets
caught in a spinebuster...ouch. Thompson shakes the arm, slam, rear
chinlock, shot to the head. Thompson slugs her in the head, elbow, now
he chokes her with a foot. Thompson with a slam, drops an elbow, then
the lower leg and gets two. Forearm shot Thompson, to the corner,
whip, takes too long to charge and gets tripped. Flying headscissors
from the top by Melissa, kicks and chops away, whip reverse, VICIOUS
clothesline by Thompson. Thompson slugs away but Melissa fires back,
whip and a clothesline gets two. Thompson went down even though there
was no force behind that. Small package Melissa gets two. Melissa
tries to pull him down to the mat, Thompson with a roundhouse shot.
Thompson with a backbreaker, airplane spin into a neckbreaker and pins
her. Melissa is slow to get up, case in point why I don't like man vs.
woman matches, can't stand seeing a man beat up a woman. Match wasn't
great in itself, slow and I couldn't take some things in the match too
seriously.

WINNER: Robert Thompson pin -> 14 mins. *½

Man vs. Woman
Cheerleader Melissa 5'8" 143lbs. Los Angeles, CA vs. Super Dragon 6'0"
201lbs. Orange County, CA - This took place in King City, CA on
5/17/2003. Man it's dark, just one lone spotlight. It's ANOTHER man
vs. woman match, and he's masked. A woman is the referee, Dragon wants
to check Melissa over. Lockup to the ropes, clean break. Dragon slaps
her on the rear. Lockup, she gets a slap. Dragon with a kick, snap
mare and another kick. Melissa snap mares Dragon and kicks him. Dragon
tries it again but misses the kick. Melissa taunts him. Lockup,
headlock Melissa, shoveoff, shoulderblock by the cheerleader. Running
the ropes, Melissa scissors into the waist and gets an armdrag, then a
dropkick sending him out. Melissa with a dive off the top to the floor
on Dragon. Headlock Melissa back in, takedown. Ah, this gym is a lot
bigger than the other one. Dragon with a whip, then a trip into what
looks like the STF. Melissa manages to squirm to the ropes. Dragon
shoves her with his foot, to the corner, tree of woe and gives her a
kick. Armbreaker by Dragon, side suplex. Dragon has an armbar, goes up
with it, and legdrops the arm off the second rope. Melissa gets
clotheslined down for two. Dragon with a big chop, ouch. Not nice
Dragon, whip to the corner splash gets two. Dragon with a crossarm
breaker but Melissa gets the rope. Full nelson Dragon, to the
waistlock, Melissa hits a German suplex. Melissa slugs away, whip
reverse, rollthru gets two, Frankensteiner gets two. Melissa whip to
the corner, forearm to the head. She sits him on top, hurraconranna
off the top gets two. Dragon wrenches the arm on the mat, Melissa
manages to scoot to the ropes. Hammerlock, side suplex into a
powerbomb gets two for Dragon. Some idiot is screaming to break her
arm. Northern Lights suplex Melissa gets two. Rear chinlock by Dragon,
back to the arm. Melissa rolls out of it, whip Dragon reverses and
gets the crossarm breaker again and Melissa taps out. Well this was
better than the previous man vs. woman match I just looked at. Dragon
gets in the face of some fan in the crowd, security rushes over to get
between them.

WINNER: Super Dragon submission -> 12:25 mins. ***¼

Triple Threat Women's Match
Cheerleader Melissa 142lbs. Los Angeles, CA vs. Nikki 155lbs. CA vs.
Desire 117lbs. Orange County, CA - Man how can you fit anyone in that
facility, one row all the way around the ring. Tag rules are in effect
for this bout on 2/22/2003. Melissa slaps Nikki, then Desire goes
after Melissa. Whip reverse weak shoulderblock by Melissa, Desire
takes over whip reverse, Desire somehow gets a bulldog, snap mare and
a kick. Melissa with a suplex, neckbreaker gets one before Nikki kicks
her. Desire whip reverse, flying headscissors Desire. Whip Melissa
manages to get a takedown, tag Nikki. Nikki whip clothesline on Desire
gets one. Someone chants crack whore. Nikki whip to the corner, she
gets a boot then bulldogged from the middle rope for two. Desire whip
reverse, tag Melissa. Nikki with an armbar, clothesline Melissa.
Fisherman's suplex Melissa gets two. Trading of punches and chops,
Nikki with a snap suplex, tag Desire. Desire whip reverse clothesline
Melissa. Tag Nikki, headbutt to the arm, double team surfboard! Ref
doesn't count the shoulders, then the move is broken up with the hair
is yanked. Nikki whip elbow to the chest gets two, Melissa breaks it
up, Nikki argues with Melissa then tags her in. Double whip, double
hip toss. Melissa with a powerbomb on Desire gets one, Nikki saves it.
Melissa with a front face lock, chop in the corner, whip splash.
Melissa fisherman's suplex, cover is broken up, Nikki with a German
suplex, Desire rakes her, whip some move is blown, Desire with a
sloppy spinning neckbreaker. Cover is made but not counted cause
Melissa's still legal. Desire goes after Melissa, kicks away, Nikki
with a nasty looking full nelson suplex. Melissa with a flatliner on
Nikki, covers Desire and pins her. Desire manages to walk away, but
Nikki gets in the face of Melissa and it's a shoving match, Melissa
takes off.

WINNER: Cheerleader Melissa pin -> 8:35 mins. **

Man vs. Woman
Cheerleader Melissa 142lbs. Los Angeles, CA vs. Lil Cholo 173lbs.
Orange County, CA - Geez, another man vs. woman match. Now this bout
actually has commentary on it. Man that's a small gym. Cholo has the
mike, he says he's wrestling a girl, he questions what she's doing
here, she doesn't have the creds he does and should be doing household
chores, but since she's here he's gonna teach her a lesson. Lockup,
Cholo gets a rolling Russian Leg Sweep into a pin combo for one.
Takedown Cholo, into a pin gets one. Cholo faces away from her and
gets nailed from behind, snap mare and kick. Snap mare Cholo, kick
misses. Faceoff and Melissa slaps him. Headlock Melissa, headlock
Cholo, shoveoffs don't get anywhere, Melissa gets a shoveoff,
shoulderblock and kip up, knockdown, stomp misses, Melissa with a
rollup for one. Melissa with a reverse sunset flip thru the legs gets
two. Regular sunset flip gets two. Melissa with a peewee roll gets
two. Cholo with a chop, whip reverse she eats a boot then gets slugged
down with an elbow. Cholo whip to the corner, rolling kick to the
back, suplex gets two. Forearm, chop whip to the corner, Melissa
rollup bridge gets two. Crucifix pinning combo gets two. Whip reverse
sunset flip but Cholo drop kicks her in the face. Cholo applies a
sleeper hold, Melissa up, elbows out, gets clotheslined down. Cholo
with the stump puller, double stump puller gets two. Forearm shots
traded, German suplex by Melissa. Drop kick to the back of the head by
Cholo, Melissa off the ropes and we get a double crossbody sending
them both down. Melissa with a couple clotheslines, Cholo whip forearm
to the corner, whip reverse Melissa with a forearm, fisherman's suplex
gets two. Melissa applies an inverted Texas cloverleaf, she's not even
lifting him in the air for it. Cholo makes the ropes, Melissa with a
slam, goes up, Cholo shoves her, hangman's neckbreaker off the top
rope...it only gets TWO! Cholo goes up, Melissa crotches him, goes up
herself, Cholo shoves her off, double stomp on her back and arm! Cholo
pickup, swinging back breaker on the knee, Cholo has her upside down
on his back, it's a back-to-belly piledriver and it gets three! Well
that was a new finisher for me. Lil Cholo has the mike and helps her
up, he says she put up for of a fight then he thought. Match gets
bonus points for using some unique maneuvers.

WINNER: Lil Chico pin -> 10:40 mins. ***½

Tuxedo vs. Evening Gown Match
Cheerleader Melissa 142lbs. Los Angeles, CA w/ Tiffany vs. Chris
Colione 5'7" 186lbs. Cincinnati, Italy - It's ANOTHER man vs. woman
match, but with different rules. Melissa's got a really nice gown on.
Colione who also uses the name Cole has a tux on without a bowtie.
Melissa has been feuding with this man and his tag partner, which set
this one up on 10/26/2003. Another girl Christina is serving as
referee. Melissa avoids locking up with Colione, then spears him and
chases him out. Melissa pulls the jacket off as soon as he comes in
the ring, another lockup, Melissa gets on his back, then goes for the
shirt, but he escapes. Cole dives for the dress but gets nothing. Cole
with a waistlock, gets a glove off. Lockup, headlock Cole, gets the
other glove off. Cole gets in and gets a few kicks to the leg and he
bails. Colione is back in, Melissa ties up with Cole, Cole has the
front of the dress but Melissa uses it to choke him. Melissa goes for
the shirt, got some unbuttoned but that's it. Back suplex by Colione,
he goes for the dress again but gets kicked in the head. Stomp to the
head by Cole, to the corner, forearm shot, pulls at the dress and gets
kicked away. Melissa with some chops, the shirt's coming off, whip
double chop, and the shirt's off. Melissa kicks him down, then starts
pulling the pants but gets a shoe off. Shoe shot to the head, gets the
other off and it goes in the crowd. Cole with a slam, he goes up,
splash misses but the legs strike her. Melissa gets up and pulls the
belt off. Cole kicks her in the knee to knock her down then chokes her
with the belt. He flings her around with it wrapped around her neck.
Melissa pulls a neckbreaker, she won't let the ref take the belt away,
she whips Cole with it. German suplex by Melissa, Tiffney is doing
something to Cole, she handcuffed him to the post! Melissa pulls the
pants off and it's over! Cole's tag partner Vennis DeMarco runs in the
ring from the back and clobbers her from behind then yanks the dress
off. He stomps around the ring looking for a key to free Colione from
the cuffs. Well it was better than your typical match in the WWE of
the same type.

WINNER: Cheerleader Melissa -> 11:35 mins. **

Okay now let's go to the main event, this is from Golden State
Championship Wrestling.

Mixed Tag Match
Cheerleader Melissa & Nikki vs. Disco Machine & Looney Lane - It's two
women vs. one man and one woman. This is from 2/1/2003. Disco and
Jenny are dancing like crazy. Some guy has the mike, he's griping
about them making out in the ring and not being here to wrestle so
they're going home. Another man comes out to speak, they either get in
the ring in ten seconds or they don't get paid. The girls jump in, and
get attacked immediately. Double whip, clothesline, drop kick sends
Nikki and Melissa out. Disco kicks someone on the outside. Melissa
gets in, Looney is starting for her team. Lockup, headlock Melissa,
shoveoff, shoulderblock Melissa, hip toss Lane. Melissa slugs Disco,
small package Melissa gets two. Armbar Melissa, twists it good,
reversed, Lane does a flip and gets clotheslined down. Tag Disco, tag
Nikki. Shoving and slapping match. Disco chant, lockup and he slaps
her on the rear, Nikki drop kicks him and works on the knees. Crossarm
breaker by Disco, Nikki makes the ropes. Nikki kicks away, snap mare
and kick. Arm wringer, Disco rolls out of it, gets a front headlock,
Nikki with a hammerlock, Disco with a takedown and throws her face
first to the mat. Chop in the corner, whip clothesline three times
gets two. Nikki chant, snap suplex Disco, Disco lift up and drop,
though Nikki head doesn't make contact with the mat. Tag Looney, whip
reverse, Northern Lights Nikki gets one. Headbutt Nikki, whip sunset
is blocked by Nikki hook of the leg gets two. Tag Melissa, kicks in
the corner, snap mare kicks to the back. Melissa fisherman's suplex
gets two. Melissa forearms away, whip flying forearm to the head. Whip
another one misses, rollup Lane gets two. Clothesline in the corner,
pickup, slam, elbow drops, Melissa legdrop gets two. Tag Nikki, double
whip, double DDT by Lane, tag Disco, he kicks away at both gals, but
the ref didn't see it, some other guy is on the apron, id'ed as
Kryptonite, he slugs him off and chases him to the back. Melissa
suplexes Lane for two. Tag Nikki, double whip double elbow, legdrop
cover gets two. Double team suplex, snap mare gets two. Melissa
waistlock, sit down atomic drop, locks in that move learned from
Mariko Yoshida...FINAL DESTINY and Lane gives it up. Nikki jumps in
and locks on an Indian deathlock, refs run in to break it up. Disco
Machine finally emerges looking exhausted.

WINNERS: Nikki & Cheerleader Melissa submission -> 12:55 mins. ***

Okay, that will be plenty for the time being. I'll probably do some
more matches from www.clickwrestle.com question is which ones will I
review...
