subject: origin lines + hpt (bug)

Hi,

I notice that unlike SquishMail, HPT doesn't add an Origin line to packed
echomail messages if they are missing when they're scanned out. There is a
FIDOCONFIG keyword called Origin presumably for this purpose, but I set
that, and still nothing, so I think this may be a bug, but somebody more
familiar with HPT may want to test/fix this.

You can tell Msged not to generate Origin lines if you define a message
area like this (in msged.cfg):

Squish L "fidosoft.husky"
/home/fidonet/msg/fidonet/fidosoft.husky fidosoft.husky

I admit this may not be commonplace, but it is quite feasible for programs
to not write an Origin line to the Squish base. Or a SysOp may decide to
change a local message area on his BBS to an echomail area, and perform a
%RESCAN, but none of the packed messages will have an Origin line unless
one was placed there originally.

Regards
Andrew
