Mike, please don't put words in my mouth. I never referred to the local
police department, paramedics or firefighters as warmongers, so please don't
insinuate that I did.

First, please tone down your language, as it is not appropriate for this
Christian echo.

I stand by my statement. Thirteen and fourteen year old children should NOT
be taught those things. They should be concentrating on their scholastic
endeavors, and behaving as kids behave, and doing the things that kids do,
and NOT the things that adult men -- who are already out of school -- are
trained to do.

BTW, those young kids do not serve or protect me, as I do not live in the
continental USA; and I would not ask them to do so, even if I did live in
the USA, because it is wrong to request such things of children that young.

Please also note that peaceful protest is a right given to the people to
express grievances with the government. Modern protests have become so
controlled and so oppressed under the new American police state, that they
have just about become meaningless. Just dare to disagree with the
government, and you are deemed a troublemaker and unpatriotic.

But all of that aside, Jesus taught His followers that our Kingdom is not of
this world; and therefore, as His servants, we are not to serve in or fight
in the world's military forces. Consider these verses:

"Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all
they that take the sword shall perish with the sword."
Matthew 26:52, KJV

"Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this
world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the
Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence."
John 18:36, KJV

We Christians are supposed to belong to a different kind of army; an army
which saves lives, and does not destroy them. Our battle is with Satan and
the forces of darkness which control this world, and which ensnare the souls
of men through ignorance and unbelief.

As the Apostle Paul so eloquently stated in some of his Epistles:

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the
flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but
mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that
exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing
into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"
2 Corinthians 10:3-5, KJV

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life,
whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good
profession before many witnesses."
1 Timothy 6:12, KJV

"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus
Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the
affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen
him to be a soldier."
2 Timothy 2:3-4, KJV

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I
have kept the faith:"
2 Timothy 4:7, KJV

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the
power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye
may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we
wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places."
Ephesians 6:10-12, KJV

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper
than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing
asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
heart."
Hebrews 4:12, KJV

That is the Christian standard which I have personally endeavored to live by
for many years. I do not support or engage in human warfare. As I have
stated before, most wars have been fought over trade and economic issues,
although more often than not, they have been disguised as something else, in
order to gain public support.
