Thanks to all of you for replying  to my help message. None of your replies
shows on the Drake List yet so I am using your email addresses. I will post
a copy of this on the Drake  List

I got rid of the carrier I got when I keyed the PTT by adjusting  the 
carrier
balance control.
Now my wattmeter when on forward shows
on X-CW 115 watts
on X-AM, PTT down but no audio 8 watts - with audio  up to 20 watts
on SSB - 20 mtrs - PTT down but no audio - less than 1 watt - with audio
barely 5 watts

By the way SWR is almost zero

So as far as I can see I am probably ok except for the SSB rf output. 
Shouldn't' it
be higher than 5 watts.

Any further comments welcome. I am not up on tech so cannot do an alignment
myself.. The cost to ship to Ohio and back, alone,  for repair is more 
than I would like
to spend.
