JH>I also suggest taking an antiemetic drug the night before the dive, as
ell
JH>when you first go aboard in the morning. Build up a level in your blood
JH>stream. Many of the common over the counter drugs may make you
leepy.....
JH>which is not such a terrible thing if you have a long ride to the dive
site.
JH>Don't worry, you'll wake up when it's time to dive.
I also suffer from seasickness and do take a pill the night before and
then with breakfast and sometimes about two hours into the trip.
On the east coast this does not seem to be a problem as the boats are
usually close to shore. But on the west coast (Fl) some trips are a
couple hours out and yes when I lose the shoreline or go into the cabin
the problem really gets going.
Someone once mentioned that a person with a hyedal(sp) hernia may suffer
same effects. Any comments on that one?
