You Probably have a ton of debug info in there.
I wrote an MFC program which is 300K compiled, but is
over 2Meg with all the debug info in it.
That's just how these things work these days.
Debugging is a lot more fun than it used to be, though.
I haven't seen builder, but I'm assuming it has a virtual
smorgasbord of program skeletons where all you do is fill
in the details for your application. All the setup and
configuring is handled by the builder software.
It may be worthwhile if you can learn to use it, but for
your needs it is probably severe overkill.
