Not specifically, but I was privy to my Dad when he priced sod for his
yard about 8 yrs ago.

That sounds as if it might be good for a few spots in our yard.  We have
a piece on the side of our house where the former owners had laid a big
strip of carpet, thus killing the grass that was there.  It's hard clay
with not a blade of grass on it.  How would we get that ready for sod?
