It's growing but I'm not sure if I'd say large. Certainly in our largest city
40% of the population are asian and about 10% of that group I beleive are
Chinese.

I'm at the other end of the country and it's more heavily weighted in terms
of europeans with a smaller percentage of the asian folk and those from
others cultures.

At my end it's on average about 6-8 degrees cooler than in the north of the
north island so a lot of people arriving in New Zealand tend to stick to the
Auckland / Waikato area.
