Hi everybody.  I am inactive in the dog show world -- have been for quite a few
years -- and for several years have been dogless -- so have not been
participating in the echo.  But from what I recently found out I am still
listed as the moderator of Doghouse Echo because someone years ago offered to
do the updating and it is I guess an automatic process.  From what I can see
from reading the message base just now, the echo doesn't really need a
moderator because you do a good job of keeping things friendly in here.  But,
if any of you feel someone who currently participates should be listed as
moderator, please contact whoever maintains that process for Fidonet and tell
him or her I will be glad to turn over the echo.  If I am contacted at my
current email address, elantra{at}hal-pc.org and asked to reply acknowledging my
willingness to resign, I will do so immediately.  Frankly I thought Doghouse
Echo had gone away long ago when my co-moderator Elvis Hargrove disappeared
from Fidonet and some months later I found myself alone in the echo which had
for a year or so only had a couple of semi-regular posters and I wrote the
echolist person and said to shut it down.  Evidently I forgot someone Elvis
Hargrove knew had agreed to do the renewals for us and had no idea it was being
renewed year after year until I happened to notice it the other day in CCS's
list of echoes when I forgot to click "no" and the list scrolled.  FWIW I
haven't been reading any Fidonet echoes for a long time ... Anyway if any of
you know how to process a moderator change and want to take over the echo,
please do so.
