| subject: | So Cal Fuel Prices |
BA> TW> Actualy #2 Diesel typicaly has an additiave to present microbes BA> TW> from growing and plugging the fuel filters. BA> TW> This is not a prolbem with Furnace burners. BA>I wonder why. One would think that since #2 heating oil tanks are inside BA>they'd be warmer and microbes would be a problem as well. Anyhow, the BA>two are the same price. yIt is a problewm in bCars bwecasue of the Size of the Injector Orfices. The Diesel Engine injectors have a very small orfice, measured in Microns, and as a result requires a much finer filtration to prevent them from plugging up. In contrast a Furnace burner has a somewhat large orfice and plugging is not really a problem. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ 0* Origin: Doc's Place BBS Fido Since 1991 docsplace.tzo.com (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 11/201 14/300 34/999 106/1 120/228 123/500 134/10 140/1 222/2 SEEN-BY: 226/0 249/303 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1418 266/1413 280/1027 SEEN-BY: 320/119 396/45 633/260 267 712/848 801/161 189 2222/700 2320/100 105 SEEN-BY: 2905/0 @PATH: 123/140 500 261/38 633/260 267 |
