subject: So Cal Fuel Prices

BA> TW> Actualy #2 Diesel typicaly has an additiave to present microbes
BA> TW> from growing and plugging the fuel filters.
BA> TW> This is not a prolbem with Furnace burners.

BA>I wonder why. One would think that since #2 heating oil tanks are inside
BA>they'd be warmer and microbes would be a problem as well. Anyhow, the
BA>two are the same price.

yIt is a problewm in bCars bwecasue of the Size of the Injector Orfices.
The Diesel Engine injectors have a very small orfice, measured in
Microns, and as a result requires a much finer filtration to prevent
them from plugging up. In contrast a Furnace burner has a somewhat large
orfice and plugging is not really a problem.
