I had that problem as well. One of my Co-SysOp's would shell to dos while I 
was doing something, and the CD changeer I had at the time would spend ages 
flipping through every CD. The answer? Check the 'SAVE DIRECTORIES command 
(or whatever it is) in MAX.CTL, and remove the reference to the CD-ROM drive 
:-)
