    Microsoft lead suitor for AOL: report (Reuters)

Reuters - Microsoft Corp. , the world's largest software maker, has
 emerged as the lead suitor for a stake in Time Warner Inc.'s  Internet
 unit America Online (AOL), according to a report by The New York Times.

    VNU, IMS Health in talks to cancel deal (Reuters)

Reuters - Dutch information and media company VNU said on Monday it is
 in talks with U.S. healthcare data firm IMS Health that could terminate
 their $7 billion merger deal after a shareholder revolt.

    Roche to raise Tamiflu production (Reuters)

Reuters - Roche  will raise the production of Tamiflu to 300 million
 treatments from 2007 and is also in talks with third parties to produce
 what is seen as the most effective drug for bird flu, the drugmaker
 said on Monday.

    Qualcomm sues Nokia over handset patents (Reuters)

Reuters - Wireless technology company Qualcomm Inc.  has filed a lawsuit
 against mobile giant Nokia (NOK1V.HE) accusing it of infringing a dozen
 patents related to the world's most widespread cell phone standard.

    Yahoo, Google to launch wireless services (Reuters)

Reuters - Yahoo Inc.  and Google Inc.  are set to roll out new wireless
 services, taking advantage of advanced networks and cellphones to
 provide features similar to those available on computers, the Wall
 Street Journal reported on Monday.

    Stock futures edge up as oil prices slip (Reuters)

Reuters - U.S. stock futures rose, indicating a higher market opening,
 on Monday as oil prices dipped below $60 a barrel, easing worries about
 energy costs for consumers, and last week's market gains raised hopes
 of a late-year rally.

    DoCoMo to Buy Stake in Tower Records Japan (AP)

AP - Japan's largest cellular phone service operator NTT DoCoMo Inc. has
 agreed to purchase a 40 percent stake in Tower Records Japan Inc.,
 effectively putting the top retailer of music software in Japan under
 DoCoMo's control, the two companies announced Monday.
