One option would be to have a chat to those who want to use it. If anyone 
really wants to use differnt colours you could have their version based on 
their user number (remember Max can display files by user number (which is 
actually their LRP number) or by name (can it still do both?), so you'd just 
need it to check and use the relevant files for each user (which would be a 
real pain on larger systems). Also, you could have them use a cfg thingy for 
that session, defines a file like 'timed.col' which can be included with the 
editor (means users would have to set up colors each time they logged on tho)

Basicaly, yup. There's also the problem that these programs are generally 
designed for *one* person who is also the SysOp, so the users would be able 
to see everyones private mail unless you either blocked those areas from 
their view or had some sort of routine to copy their messages to a temp area 
and their replies back..
A good idea, but maybe quite diffucult - one I will have a crack at tho :-)
