Not true.  (Purportedly) North Vietnamese naval patrol boats attacked the US
destroyer (which was operating in an area that had been used by South Vietnamese
raiders that had attacked a small village in North Vietnam a few nights earlier).
Much later analysis seems to indicate that the radar operators aboard the destroyer
were seeing things that weren't there; IOW they thought they were being attacked
but in reality they weren't.

BTW, Pearl Harbor doesn't belong in your list above.  That was a real attack.  People
are still arguing whether or not Roosevelt minor provoked the Japanese into it.  IMO
Roosevelt minor expected the Japanese to attack - just not at Pearl Harbor.

There were no Israeli naval ships in the South China Sea at the time, and AFAIK
at any time.  They certainly have enough to do in the eastern Mediterranean.

I don't believe this, not a word of it.  While I'm certain that there are individuals
currently serving in the Bush regime who are perfectly capable of doing such things,
I don't think that they've actually done them.  Not yet, anyway.
