Ok, will post mine. This works with Win95 (not the a or b but that may not 
matter), Maximus 3.01.
I set up a QuikEdit directory and point to it.
I put a [link]misc\dorinfo  in my welcome.mec so that it can be even used 
with local, since I always go through welcome to access my local.

This .bat assumes that Maximus puts the msgtmp001.$$$ (or 000.$$$) in the 
temp directory.
In Max.ctl use your search or find in an editor to locate Local Editor. Add 
this line:
Local Editor     @Command.com /C c:\bbs\QuikEdit\Quik.bat %s %%k %%t
                                 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                                  All this will have to be your particular
                                  path to your program.
Go into your ACCESS.CTL
In any of your user access areas such as Normal, uncomment your MailFlags 
line and add    Editor.
In your Sysop access area add    Local Editor to your MailFlags. It is 
probably already uncommented.
My brother is running DOS 6.22 with Maximus 3.01. His batch is:
