Yep, I and my brother at The Final Edition use that editor. Well, I use a 
newer version called QuikEdit v2.41.
I had the same problem you have until I found out that maximus was putting 
the msgtmp001.$$$ in the TEMP directory. Perhaps it will be the same with 
u.
If you don't have any luck, let me know and I'll send you my .bat file.

Put a [link]misc\dorinfo.bbs in you welcome mec and there will always be one 
there. Be sure the dorinfo.mec points to the max directory when it creates 
the file.
