subject: Hello

BA> RW>>> white bread with lard sandwiches for lunch at school.
My dad said
BA> RW>>> that his family was better off and they could afford
peanut butter
BA> RW>>> to put on white bread sandwiches.

BA> CH>> Lard on white bread. That is ... unpspeakable.

BA> TW> Actualy that is about what the Origional Butter Substitute tastred
BA> TW> like. And because of the Butter Lobby origional it could not be
BA> TW> Colored either.

BA>I remember watching my grandmother kneading yellow color into margarine,
BA>which was white. This back in the very early 1950s.

That was a later step i nthe Evolvment of Butter Substitudes. The First
coloring method introduced some years earlier Was a packet odf Coloring
Powder that was sprinkled on the Whidte substance and folded i nwith a
spoonb until the coloring wqas somewhat even. NOT exacticaly an easy job
and if not carefull was quite meassy.
