Actually, I had read somewhere that a legible signature (you know, one 
where someone had actually paid attention in penmanship class!) was much 
harder to forge than what passes for signatures nowadays. Most of what I 
see might as well be an "X" marking the spot.

This coming from someone who once told someone at a title company who 
complained about my signature, "if you could read it, it wouldn't be my 
signature!"
