I don't know about other singers, but I have accents that go with
certain songs!  I do a lot of church stuff, such as hymns.  Many songs
get my full Irish tenor, brough (sp?) and all, others have to have
county western southern accents, and last week, I actually had one
that insisted it be sung with an italian accent.  It seems to be
inherent in the interpretation of the song...
