That's okay for some people.  I probably wouldn't have one now, except my
oldest son talked me into getting one when I lived in Mandeville.  To quote
him, "Being on the road as much as you are, Dad, you might break down
in the middle of nowhere and wish you had a cell phone."  He was
right.

My last new one was a 1977 Monte Carlo that had swivel bucket seats --
something I wish my Lincoln had.  I paid $5,000 for that car.  Nowadays
that price is a down payment on a new one.

That's what I did when I bought this Lincoln at an auction.  I can't
imagine what the sticker price was on it when it first came out, but I'm
sure I couldn't afford it.  I'm grateful I was smart enough to not get one
of those front wheel drive cars.  I had one and it almost drove me crazy;
not that that's a bad thing nowadays.  (-:
