RY>>>>>>>> As much fun as being strapped to an Evinrude..
 LB>>>>>>> pssssttttt, Ray, what's an Evinrude? :-/
RY>>>>>> {in the old Timex commercials, John
Cameron Swayze
RY>>>>>> strapped a Timex to the propeller of
an Evinrude
RY>>>>>> Outboard Motor. Put the motor in a drum of
water, and turnd
RY>>>>>> it on. Stopped the motor, removed it from the water, and
RY>>>>>> showd that the watch was still working properly
and intoned
RY>>>>>> "take a licking and keeps on
ticking"... Classic commercial
 RY>>>>>> around '62 or so..
 LB>>>>> Thanks Ray!
RY>>>> For you younger folks this predates the Bic Pen fired into the
RY>>>> wood plank and it still writes, or the Master Padlock they shot
 RY>>>> with the rifle..

LB>>> Selective memory is fasinating...I remember the Bic but not the
LB>>> Padlock...but I do remember the Energizer Bunny!

RY>> Bic was Circa 1965-66 or so.. Master Padlock was about '68...

LB> Ahhhhh, my teen years...'If I knew then what I know now'...

Would you do now what you did then, or not do now what you didn't do then? Or
would it make a hill of beans difference ?

Oldest commercial I can actively remember was for Nestles, on Captain
Midnight, featuring Farfel, in Black & White.. somewheres around 1955-ish, I
guess..
