Hello
I have a Optima v32 bis 14400 fax modem
I use Smartcom for Windows
My friend has a Cardinal modem V32 14400
I use the generic pctopc.scw that came with
the Smartcom package, when doing a direct
link with all defaults in place for that scw.
Now when he sends to me...no problem, good connection etc.
When I send to him, it's always going incredibly fast
and many crc errors...I have to lock it at 14400 and I never
get a better handshake than a "alt" handshake....no LAPM etc, etc.
He uses Hyperterminal, I believe has all the chip
equivilents as I do...
Is there a particular "friendly" init string I can
thrown in on my end to get a good 14400 or better
transfer rate??...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Dale Kent
