Don't be so despair! ;-) It will end soon. Actually, SAR and SAR2(covid) 
are similar viruses, and they live according the same rules. The only 
difference between them is the level of transmissibility (and SAR2 is 
much less deadly). As the rezult SAR had developed on Earth in a much 
smaller area and died itself, and all the vaccines against SAR appeared 
to be useless waste of money.

In other words SAR2 is a scaled replica of SAR. It will die after people 
in the area (Earth in the SAR2 case) become exposed to the virus for 
necessary time. After that the epidemic ends.
