It is with the utmost regret that I relay this news:

Bennie Hutto, 1:3613/360, has left us forever.  He passed away last
night, peacefully, while sleeping, after a years-long battle with
chronic illness. Bennie was about 43, give or take a year, childless
and (I believe) had never married.

Bennie was a special friend of mine.  Lin and I were guests in his
home in Augusta, GA a couple of years ago as we passed through on the
way to visit family in North Carolina.  We talked often, at least
weekly, on the 'phone, our chats ranged from computer-techie stuff to
woodcutting, cooking to networking, and our respective dogs.

Funeral arrangements, etc., are unclear at this time as there has
been difficulty determining and locating any members of his family
excepting his mother, who lives in New Orleans.

Bennie was an asset to Fidonet and my friend; I will miss him very
much.
