Anywhere from 1 to 2 years.  I'm going to have one anyway, so that isn't
much of a concern.  If you choose a 1 year plan, the price of the phone
rises slightly.  Ah, free enterprise.  We could have it worse, though.

I suppose that is true, but at least they can't force you to buy.
