You can buy VP Racing fuel that is either leaded or  unleaded. Octanes
range from 93 to 110 and in pails of 5 gallons up to 53 gallon barrels.
It's no big deal to import the stuff by pickup truck and haul it to a
racetrack.

I'll bet they use leaded VP in California at dragstrips and roundy-round
tracks outside of the LA basin. LA County Raceway, is on the desert or
eastern side of LA's mountains. You might also find it in the tanks of
racecars as close to you as the Romona Indian Reservation 1/8th mile
dragstrip.

BTW, are you aware that registering your cars in any of those eastern
counties like Imperial, means no smog check requirements? All of mine were
registered at a Santa Isabel PO-Box since 97, a smog exempt area of San
Diego County.
