I had given Bj”rn an answer to this question in an earlier message.
But after reviewing it, I realized I had answered in haste.

Bj”rn was only comparing the current POTUS to those who had
previously served as POTUS. Not that the current POTUS is stupid.
Althouth he may very well be dumb as mud.

The real issue is about what it takes for millions of "stupid
USAians" to re-elect such a person, who obviously must be much
smarter than them.

That is what got me thinking -

Yes. That is very scary. Just think of the number of idiots we have,
all in one place. With the biggest one of all, carrying a football,
with nobody of sound mind around telling him what to do.
