Greetings:
What software/peripheral hardware might I use to perform disc-based
multitrack recording with a fast Pentium-II PC and an SB16pNp?
Top-of-the-charts fidelity isn't neccessarily an issue.  Merely good
would get me to where I need to be.
I've been away from this for quite a while, so please forgive my
ignorance.  Is this still a ProTools only kinda thing?
Also, what's the best way to get location audio from, say, a portable
Minidisc, DatMan, or Walkman into the SB16pNp for conversion to .WAVs
and .MP3s ?
