Hmm, I still use the keyboarding skills I learned in HS. My math skills are
pretty good - I help people program their spreadsheets for business use. I
took drivers's ed in school also. My English skills were further developed
and refined. I also had great examples of positive teachers in HS. My
appreciation for science and history was developed in HS. Choir was a
highlight of my HS years, I still love to sing and harmonize with others.
Because you didn't get anything out of HS, don't assume that others share
your course of action, (if there was one). Don't also assume that all
students do not want to be in school, I have found that most do.
To go from an 8th grade education to an university takes $, very few in
Mexico have the resources for that. You should know that, Austin is not that
far from the border.
