LM> Hi All!!!!!!!!!!!
LM> I have just added a fourth IDE HD to one of the 3.12 servers.
LM> It's a 2.5 GB Bigfoot Quantum HD.
LM> The problem I have is that the drive appears as a 2.147
LM> GB, I'm loosing 300 MB somewhere.
LM> When I create the partition, it tells me that there is
LM> 2.450 GB (around) plus hotfix. When I create the volume it shows 2.407
GB.
LM> The server has 32 MB RAM. Is a Pentium 120.
LM> When I map the new disk from a workstation I just have 2.147 GB free.
Isn't this a problem with the client, not the server. Sounds like the server
is reporting the correct amount of space. It's the client that doesn't see
it all.
Maybe I should ask how you're determining the space on the volume from the
client. Some DOS tools don't understand disk more than 2 gigs in size,
reporting 2 gigs as the max.
Netware tools understand larger sizes.
