Forgive me for asking the obvious, but you would not be the first one to do 
it.  Did you plug the cable directly into the BNC connectors?  To make this 
work, you must put a tee connector on each card and then plug the cable into 
one side of each tee connector.  On the remaining side of each tee connector, 
you need a terminating resistor.

If the cards see themselves, you probably have the software configured more 
or less correctly, and you have a hardware or cabling problem.

My opinion is that Lantasic is dead and it would be an unwise and expensive 
choice for new installations.  The networking support built into NT and 95 
should work fine.
