subject: Hello

BA> RW>> I think they're stupid. AT&T laid glass fiber cable
all over Mira
BA> RW>> Mesa and then abandoned it. Time Warner either bought it or leases
BA> RW>> it to people wanting their services.

BA> TW> Actualy that was Pacific Bell, At the Time totaly UNRELATED
to AT&T.

BA>Uh, Tom, Pacific Bell was in fact owned by AT&T as part of the Bell System.
BA>After the breakup in what, 1984?, Pac Bell became Pacific Telesis. I've no
BA>idea what it is today.

I am wel laware of that having Worked for MT&T i nthe 5-0's before my
Draft Board convinced me to do some Military Service. I ended up staying
20 years and afer getting out moved in my Career leaving the Telephone
company behind.
Pacific Telesis(Pac Bell) was gobbeled up by the old Texas area former
Bell company, South West Bell as I recall, and later they are bought out
by AT&T. And so the Company has come Full circle almost. It is really
only a shadow of it's former self though.
