Hi Cindy...
Seeing a new message here in doghouse, You reminded me of and incident I
saw last night. I was a bit upset.. Was riding behind one of these guys with a
souped up Pickup. I remarked as to what a nice truck it was, I also then said
to everyone else in my car. Look at big pitbull in the back. He was riding in
the bed of the truck. Rather High truck due to it being souped up and all. Well
the guy, I guess, being as he was, tried showing off and took of like a bat
outta hell on down the road, away from the red light. I watched that big old
pitbull fly to the back of the truck and hit the tailgate. I murmered a few
choice words and just blew it off.. A couple blocks down the road, there was a
car ahead of me and the truck ahead of him. I heard the tires squeal as the
truck whips a right hand turn around the corner. I look up just in time to see
that poor dog go flailing over to the side of the pickup. The Crazy dude
driving was going so fast around the corner, the dog flipped right over the top
of the side panels of the truck and landed on it's back hip. You could see the
poor thing was hurt and dazed. All the cars and a fellow on a motorcycle that
were in the area, stopped and tried to calm the poor thing as it finally got
itself up and started running in between the cars in it's dazed condition,
looking for it's owner. It was really sad to see an animal who had not asked
for any of that, Paying a price for an owner that was an A$$. I was proud of
all the people as they stood outside their cars and were yelling at the truck
driver. The poor dog finally heard his owner call and the lazy no good for
nothing made that poor dog walk ( or should I say hobble ) over to him to get
back in the truck rather going and getting him to see if he was alright. The
dirty dog ( and I don't mean the pitbull ) then had the guts to scream at the
dog for falling out of the truck.. I was proud of the people though, sticking
up for the dog and hollering at the guy. He could not get out of there fast
enough. It actually looked like an angry mob at one point. I just felt so bad
for that dog. I wish people would not ride their dogs in the back of the
pickups like that, especially when they drive like jerks!! That animal did not
ask to be hurt like that. He could have been hurt a lot worse or even hit by an
oncoming car... I just don't know why they don't put them in the truck, it
would help a lot with the dogs safety.

Have a good One!
Mike
