I remember hearing about systems like that before, and I'd be real surprised if 1995 were the first such thing to come out, though I don't think that any system like that really had much commercial success. The technology is probably there to make it easy compared to what it used to be, what with all the cdrom drives and such, but the demand probably isn't there, since no record companies are selling vinyl any more.
