But, alas, you are right.  There are far fewer Dale's in Fidonet these
days.  One must go to sci.physics to find them, now.  And there is no
shortage of them, there.  So, here's to Fidonet.  May she live forever.

Excellent choice.  Now we truly do have an International Science Echo. 
This is the first time we've had a moderator here from anywhere other than
Zone 1.  Let's see, there was Jeff Otto, Jeff Sterling, Earl Truss, and now
Michiel.  Did I leave anyone out?
