Hi Donna,
DL> I found out many years ago, after much aggravation, that if you have a
DL> Singer Sewing Machine - you have to use name brand thread. 5/$1.00

I found out the same thing when I had Singer machines. I have had a
Pfaff for about 10 years now & can use just about anything in the line
of thread. Found out something interesting a couple of years ago tho.
I was hemming some polyester dresses for the high school show choir,
using a name brand cotton covered poly thread. If I ran the machine all
out, the thread would fray; I guess it was from the friction of going
thru the fabric. Once I slowed down a bit, no trouble at all, just
meant I put in a bit more time than I thought I would to finish the
project. I have one of these adapter things so I can use the coned
threads with my sewing machine and found there's a bit of a difference
in their quality too.
Catch yu later,
Ruth
