Reuters - Mortgage finance giant Fannie Mae , whose accounting problems
 are expected to result in a multibillion-dollar profit restatement, on
 Thursday said its investigation now included an assessment of
 accounting for insurance policies.

Reuters - U.S. stock futures pointed to a nearly flat market opening on
 Thursday, with news of Internet equipment maker Cisco Systems Inc.'s

Reuters - Internet media company Yahoo Inc  has backed out of the

    Cisco posts lower profit (Reuters)

Reuters - Cisco Systems Inc.  on Wednesday reported a slightly lower
 quarterly profit as it expensed stock options compensation for the
 first time and disappointed investors with a revenue forecast below
 expectations, pushing its shares down in after-hours trade.

    Economic outlook weakens in OECD gauge (Reuters)

Reuters - The economic outlook looks weaker for the United States and
 Canada but brighter for the other Group of Seven leading industrialized
 nations, an early warning indicator issued by the OECD think tank
 showed on Thursday.

AP - The French economy grew by a better-than-expected 0.7 percent in
