 Well, overkill is better than getting something that is not up to the task.
 And you never know when you will need those "overkills"... then again,
 if mother nature decided to send a lighting bolt into the telephone pole
 next to your house, a overkill phone line might not be a very good idea. :)
 Hummm... How about 2 10Base2 lines with the outer layer connected to ground
 and two inside wire for phone use? now the transmission is fully shielded!
