-> I gotta believe it's going to be a very long time before 800s or 900s
-> are considered collector pieces.
The early 800's that have over-and-under input jacks are becoming very
sought after items. They were the last ones built that have
chassis-mount jacks and tube sockets. These were non-channel switching
heads and didn't have all the gain added into them.
I ran into a very early 800 a few months back that was a 4 input
non-master volume head in pristine condition for $599.00. I passed on
it, and I went back to buy it the next day. It was gone.
I have been kicking myself over that one ever since. By changing the
brightness cap on channel one, that could have been a "plexi equivalent"
that I could take out and not worry about damaging or losing.
