 This problem was emulated well in a comic I get in email called This
Modern WOrld. It shows how in the 70's your average person was
wondering why gas was so high we'll have to buy smaller cars... the
80p's oh it's cheap again lets go buy a bunch of SUV's! Now... It's
lets go buy smaller more efficient cars.

Then. If the prices were to drop a dollar tomorrow these same people
would say OH BOY! Lets' go out band buy HUMMERS!

You see where the ROOT of the problem lies? With Consumers. And with
big business all too willing to sell us what we don't need and scalp
us for what we do.
