RC>I like to punch holes in paper. What type of hand gun would you suggest?
RC>I know a .22 is cheap and many say if you can do it with a .22 you can

RC>and I won't be competting. I am interested purely for personal
reation.
The difference between a .22 and a .45 is recoil. If you work with your
hands on medium to heavy equipment, you should have no problem with
flinching, or it can easily be cured with a little instruction.
Despite my penchant for semiautos, I purchased a Taurus 94 revolver
recently. 4" barrel, blue, 9 shot. I love it. It is easily more
accurate than any of my semiauto centerfire pistols. I don't know how it
would stack up against a Ruger Mk II, kind of a benchmark for .22lr
semiautos.
I would suggest a 6" barrel though, I use mine as a trail gun as well, it
needs to be a little smaller.
Other good .22lr handguns I would reccommend are the Browning Buckmark
and the Ruger Mk II with a bull barrel. There are plenty of others out
there, most of them good, but these I can say for certain are excellent
shooters and relatively affordably priced.
