Is there any way to prevent Win95 users from moving directories? I have
had on several occasions users on Novell networks click on a directory folder
and move it where other users couldn't find it. I don't care if they want to
move individual files or groups of files, the directories have got to stay
put! :-)
While there have been several 'solutions' offered, mostly flagging the
directories and contents UNmovable/UNdeletable, this doesn't address the
issue directly. What happens when these flags are toggled is the directory
and contents seem to stay put because they cannot be deleted, which is good,
but the user ends up copying what can be gigs of files to somewhere else. On
a drive with no additional room available this can bring about a 'drive full'
problem in a hurry.
Is there a way to 'cripple' Win95's ability to move directories?
Suggestions and solutions are most welcome. Thanx!
