I suppose it's about time that focussing was done electronically, as even
IR had the unfortunate habit of occasionally focussing on the wrong object
when there's a rather deep field of view. Ultrasonic was even worse,
particularly when trying to videotape from within a car, where the bloody
thing kept focussing on the windscreen instead of what you really wanted to
film...
