JP> I've basicly come to the conclusion that Guy, and maybe one or two
JP> others here, are card-carrying Libertarian Party activists who are out
JP> to "Get Votes For Harry" no matter what.
JP> If my suspicions are true, the incredibly inept and
JP> hostile way they are
JP> going about it also explains why the Libertarian
RR> Sadly, it's an all too common situation. I see it all over these days.
Perhaps pro-gun people are finally getting angry at anti-gun voting gun
owners.
RR> People like this are driving people _away_ because they come off as
RR> rabid kooks.
Away? Away from what?! Away from the anti-gunners.
RR> If they held off on the name-calling and reasoned quietly
RR> they might get somewhere but instead they yammer off like the
RR> religeous fanatic screaming at everyone that they're going to burn in
RR> hell unless they get down on their knees and worship _his_ way right
RR> then and there.
This is an inaccurate assessment of my position. My defining someone's
political position as anti-gun, because they in fact cast anti-gun votes,
is _not_ "name calling." That continuing accusation comes from big babies
who absolutely refuse to face up to the obvious fact that they are voting
for anti-gunners, therefore adopting the anti-gun political position.
RR> These kind of people have/are doing the Libertarians more damage than
RR> their enemies ever could.
I'm _not_ a Libertarian . . . . damnit. Have you ever heard me say I was
voting for Browne? No, you haven't, have you? I'll probably be voting for
Collins. So much for your "wild Libertarian" fallacy.
RR> In simple terms: you can't convert people by calling them insulting
RR> names, acting in an enraged manner,
Convert them to what? You mean convert gun owners to being pro-gun? Have
you ever torpedoed an anti-gunner when you saw them post in a gun echo?
RR> . . . . and expect them to cast off a lifetime of mis-education
_Me_ expect a sheeple to uphold & defend the Constitution? No, not me.
RR> . . . and follow you.
Follow me to where?! You are welcome to follow me to the polls & vote for
one of the pro-gun candidates.
RR> The Republicans are
RR> left-of-center and look at how they're characterized as right-wing,
RR> genocidal, wacko fascists. They've been getting beat over the head
RR> because they wanted to slow the growth of social programs and had the
RR> audacity to suggest the repeal of the AW ban.
"Suggesting" isn't enough. Dole/Gingrich _blocked_ a repeal of the AW ban.
That's because they want to keep it. That's what Dole said.
Republicans aren't "left of center," they are hard-left-wing Fascists. No,
there is no such thing as a right-wing Fascist . . . .
RR> Imagine the reception
RR> someone who wants to repeal Social Security, all gun laws, subsidies,
RR> etc. is going to get. _Then_ tell us all how Browne is going to be the
RR> next president.
Then I suppose you want to keep SS, gun laws, subsidies, etc.
RR> Of course, I don't think they really care. I have come to the
RR> conclusion that the people ranting here really want Clinton back in so
RR> that it can force things to a head. They have some sort of wish for an
RR> all-out confrontation.
Then you haven't been reading my msgs.
RR> Maybe they've seen Star Wars and Red Dawn a few
RR> too many times.
And maybe they don't watch TV at all, or go to movies. That's why they
still have some discernment left.
RR> It's very likely to backfire on us all.
Voting for someone who will uphold & defend the Constitution is going to
backfire? I think your route has already backfired.
What are you going to do if you vote for Brady Bill-Bob Dole, & Klinton
wins (just like happened when you voted for the anti-gun Bush-wack last
time)? Have you thought about what "message you would be sending?" It
will tell the International Fascist DemoPublican one-party system that they
still have you by the balls, like a good sheeple . . . . fleeced again!
Have you ever thought about what Dole would think if he won? He'd know for
sure, with _your_ vote, that he has a nationwide referendum to impose more
of his Brady Bills, AW bans & mag bans . . . . . & he'd be _right_. That
will have been exactly what he has been doing, prior to getting elected.
Is that the msg you want to send? More Brady Bills & bans? Apparantly it
is, so go ahead & send it. Certainly you should vote for what you believe
in.
... We made an ARRANGEMENT. We LET that bill (Brady) PASS. - Sen Bob Dole
