Hi Carol:
What a neat idea. I don't know that it would work in this case, but it could
be something to do for myself the next time that I feel I want to make me a
tree skirt. Thanks for mentioning it.

The figures sound adorable. My DH was in the Navy too. He has been out for
about 20+ years though. I have heard some stories of his navy times, and how
much he enjoyed visiting some of the ports.
I so far haven't been able to bring myself to start on the tree skirt for the
first one yet. When she opened the quilt she got for Christmas, she said
thank you and all, but it went immediately to the bedroom even though it was
of the size intended for the couch. I had also made Christmas stocksings
for her and DH and didn't see those used either. It is hers and I won't tell
her how to use it, but it is playing a part in my mind about wanting to make
her a tree skirt. Now the other one is not due for a birthday until August
and I am sure I can come up with something for her before then. Maybe I'll
hit the 1/2 off sales and buy the first one a tree skirt, then concentrate on
the other one throughout the year. I am sure she wants one, she has already
asked about one.
Gotta go,
Teresa
