The other day when I bought the pleco, I also picked up three gold tetras to
finish off the tank.
I just noticed now that two of them have a large black spots on their 
tail-fin,
but the third has a faded black spot, and red flares along the upper and 
lower edges of the tail-fin.  Is this a sex-related marking, or has this fish 
been nipped, or is something wrong, or is this a different lookalike species 
that got mixed in with the gold tetras?
