I believe the concern was not so much spying as just handing over the keys.
Clinton simply "reclassified" the technology he gave his friends
so as to effectively blunt any investigation. I don't think the goose or
the gander would embrace spies per se, it is the nature of scorpions, er
spies, to bite.
