The one who said -> that Darwin decried his theories and converted to christianity on his deathbed? There's a lot of that going around. Voltaire, I think belongs to the club od 'convenient declaration' ;-) No, he was a scholar in religion; was qualified to be ordained...wrote extensively and profoundly on religion...came to no conclusion, considered himself an agnostic. -> . -> -> Yes, he originally was planning on attending seminary and believed in -> divine creation...until the voyage of the Beagle. Which cured him. He completed his seminary training. Didn't choose ordination. My case also. -> --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Doc's Place BBS Fido Since 1991 docsplace.tzo.com (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 14/250 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 140/1 222/2 226/0 249/303 SEEN-BY: 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1418 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 SEEN-BY: 396/45 633/260 267 690/734 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 2222/700 SEEN-BY: 2320/100 105 2905/0 @PATH: 123/140 500 261/38 633/260 267 |
