Yes,I know that every formatting program *should* fail if it encounters bad
sectors.However,in my very limited experience with the STf,I have found only
one program that works as it should:FloorMat III.
 
And about the dirty heads:I live in a very dusty area,and will heed your
advice.I will clean them more regularly.Hope this solves the disk drive's
strange behavior (sp.?).
